Banner for list of candidates for Palo Alto City Council.

Being new to Palo Alto, I am just now getting involved with some local politics. Not only is my new city grappling with ongoing conversations about housing, open spaces, etc, but they are now making some efforts towards addressing institutional racism, policing, and #BlackLivesMatter.

Here are the 10 City Council Candidates and their info in order as listed by Palo Alto’s randomized ballot order. I have taken social media links from info listed on their official websites, but you can also follow my Twitter list with 9 of 10 candidates listed and follow #PaloAltoCC for general conversations and #pamtg for council meetings. All images were taken from Twitter profiles except Ed Lauing, who is not on Twitter.

MY ENDORSEMENTS:

While the church I serve cannot endorse individual candidates, as a private citizen and a public voice, I certainly can. Rest assured, members of FPCPaloAlto are independent thinkers and have strong opinions of their own; so very much not one of them, “If the pastor says . . .” kinda churches.

You can see our family's first annual RCP Family Voter Guide for California Propositions and more, but for Palo Alto City Council, we decided on Raven Malong, Steven Lee, Cari Templeton, and Rebecca Eisenberg.
